I seldom know the songs.  Doesn’t matter.  With ear plugs in, the beat from the drums and bass create an intense space of concentration.  It’s there that the passion of the artist is isolated and takes center stage.

My job as a photographer is to catch and capture the essence of an evening – the interesting details of the venue, the artists on stage, their equipment, even the crew behind the scenes.  It's all part of the show.  The challenge of capturing a few of the flood of images happening every second are what make it fun.  Call it photojournalism in the dark.
